10 / 101 goals. 10% done!
... there by I am pissing myself off. Boo.

I have forgotten about this place since the last time I updated. How frustrating, because I genuinely want to finish these tasks!

Amazingly enough I could care less about some of this crap now and some I can't do now. For example anything having to do with money like buying a printer, moving out on my own, buying clothes of any kind, going anywhere, CANNOT DO. I don't have the money to do ANY of it. So I'm probably going to cross all those off and just get more frustrated. Annnd those goals weren't unreachable when I wrote them, I've just been money stupid.

---- 5 minutes later ----

Okay, I've thought this over a little bit... and calmed down... I think I'm going to have two lists. One will be the original lists (101 in 1001) and the other is just stuff I want to do in life. So I'll make a 'Life List' post after this post and be happy that I don't have to cross out stuff needlessly.

Do not drink pop/soda for one month.

Finished this task as well without realizing it. I was starting to get really dehydrated at the end of last summer and stopped drinking caffeine to see if that was the culprit - it was and wasn't - i wasn't drinking enough water... i think. Anyway, never started back up with the pop drinking - I drink it every once in a while - maybe a can of diet coke a month or something. So obviously I've gone without pop for a month or more sometime since then.

UPDATE:
A couple things:
1- There's so many things to accomplish I can't remember some of them. For example - juggling - not a hard task to practice yet I haven't because I didn't remember it. *shrugs* I should print my list out I guess, maybe rearrange it to clump some that go together so I can't take chunks out my list instead of one by one crossing tasks off.

2- ...there was a two - I just don't remember it at the moment.

3- failing so far at taking a picture a day - boo this is a fun goal to accomplish too! I just need to starting taking my camera everywhere with me.

random bs: i want a new purse.

I lied. I'm so over my current job, the drama, the immaturity of my boss, the no raises (performance based or cost of living) EVER (even when the economy is good), the no paid vacation/sick time off, etc.

I'm going to start vigorously applying and hopefully get employed a) wayyy closer to home b) with 401K and benefits and c) before school starts. Granted the process is scary but it's more scary to think that I'll be the next lifer there. *gag*

ALSO! I'm going to try to take a picture a day for three months starting yesterday - I don't know where I'm going to post them and if I'll post them here. It'll probably be a weekly upload type thing. I'll write more later cuz I gotta go to work!
11th-Jan-2009 11:23 am - Interesting...
I'm starting to just now realize that I get overly pissed at the little annoying things in life because I can't change the big annoying things. Well in reality I can they just take a lot more effort and patience. Sooo I'm going to try to start changing the things that I can and start using a little more self control on the little things that I can't.

BTW! I'm going to offically start school in the winter of 2009 - definately going to try to make that sooner (maybe summer? Or at least fall!), I'm excited!

ETA: Haha it's for Winter of '08 - my bad, I'm going to try to start Spring or Summer since I don't have any classes picked out. :)

#83 Figure out if I want to participate in [info]embodiment. If I do, keep a journal for a year.

Also finished this in March '08. Forcing entries daily definitely isn't for me. Taking a picture a day, can do! But thinking about the day - whether I did anything or not got irritating, and for me after irritating comes resenting. So I stopped and became happy with with just reading entries in embodiment. :)

#66 Get an updated laptop or new computer.

Yay! Completed this goal without even realizing it. :)
Ended up getting a MacBook - ♥ it to pieces!

Invent a yummy cocktail.

If anyone knew me a couple years ago or has read my LJ for a while (or two minutes) then you know... I LO♥E alcohol. I cannot, to this day, believe it's legal.

So I think I came up with a pretty simple drink.

1 part rum
2 parts grapefruit juice
1 part 7-up

** add a little bit of ice to chew (and to chill it) so at the end so when you're finished and are waiting for your next drink you're not bored.

I'm going to call it Party on a Stick, because I can't think of anything better at the moment. If you want to drink it like I do, make everything equal (what can I say? I like my drinks strong).

Figure out job situation.

My job isn't going to get better, nor is it ever going to get worse. It truly is a time warp. People come and people go but nothing changes.

I think I'm going to keep it just for the lovely flexibility and lack of supervision, meanwhile picking up another job and expanding on my job skills sounds like the best step forward.
